Next note to self - start scrapping earlier and you won't have to take photos of layouts at night and then re-shoot the morning after LOL.

Decided last minute to try the January White With 1 challenge - although mine ended up more One with White, featuring navy blue and a banner, and a gorgeous photo of our family taken by Claire at See Be Art.

I love the Leeann Pearce designed beach huts - perfect for this layout at the photo was taken in front of our local beach huts, and I loved recycling my old jeans pocket.

On the home front, getting ready for back to school, had SLOW holidays this year, and loving it, can't believe they will be over so soon!!  Glad I was able to spend some time sorting through my stash & sent a huge box of goodies to Chelle in Queensland to forward on to crafters who lost theirs in the recent floods.

Wow what a year so far...

Spent the last couple of weeks crossing my fingers as both my Dad & brother are in Queensland - luckily the waters stopped at my brothers back steps, and only his shed & chook house saw any damage.  Dad's property was safe too.  Heart and thoughts go out to all those who did not fare so well.  Collecting up some of my excess supplies to send to flood affected scrappers up north.

Honoured to have been chosen as this weeks featured member over at Colour Combo Challenge.  Here's my layout inspired by this weeks colours and a challenge to create a scene with clouds - had fun playing with the paints and glimmermist & realised I'm definitely a BRIGHT scrapper LOL!

Happy New Year...

Spent the last evening of 2010 at the family fireworks in town - first time we've ventured in with kiddies.  Caught the train there and back - gotta love free public transport!!  Really enjoyed it though DH wanted to know why it was Guy Sebastian singing and not somebody else... like Pearl Jam for instance LOL!

Hope you had a stunning New Year and are looking forward to an amazing 2011 too!!

They call me... BOND

Loved the colours in last weeks inspiration from Colour Combo Challenge, just took a while to do the layout with preparation for Christmas ;)  Inspired by all the circles, lines and textures.

The journalling reads... "This little guinea pig was only about a week old in this photo (taken on our WA farmstay), he crawled up DDs sleeve and no matter how much we tried to gently shake him out, he would not budge, so we nick-named him BOND - shaken, but not stirred.  I love how DD bonds with all creatures great & small too :)"

Have you been naughty or nice...

Thought I'd try and do an Aussie Christmas photo with my two elves down by the beach, but the big elf decided to be naughty by refusing to wear her attractive head attire AND and trying and steal the little elfs hat LOL!

Chriastmas tree oh christmas tree...

Finally got to putting up our Christmas tree on the weekend, which is fantastic news, because it means our lounge room is almost habitable again!!!  Putting the finishing touches on the cabinet we purchased on eBay to convert it to our TV cabinet, and the new fireplace, just in time for Santa to make his way down the chimney!!!

Sold our old single antique bed in DS room to make way for another eBay purchase of a loft bed.  Was going to sand this little gem off the slats of his old bed, but couldn't bring myself to do it.  "I did it when I was really little, so I could remember how to get out of my bedroom"  he explained...

Toddler rules...



"Toddler rules..." don't they always LOL!

It's been a while since my subject was a toddler, but I LOVE the little tongue poke whilst clutching his precious collection of treasures found on the beach.  Ever since I saw "The 7 Rules of the Toddler" on Emily Falconbridges blog I knew that's how I'd scrap this photo - just taken a while to do it!!!  Inspired by this week at the Color Room to finally add the finishing touches :)
