May All Your Days be Dashing...

3 minutes and 54 seconds later...
With officially less than 10 weeks til Christmas, this combo of 10 Minute Craft Dash and CAS(E) this Sketch may go some way towards catching up on my Christmas Card to do list LOL!  A super fast card today - especially as Simple Stories had so perfectly designed this 3x4 flash card. All I needed to do was adhere it to a sheet of Authentique paper, round the corners and pop dot.  Now only nine hundred and ninety-nine to go!!!

Playing along with Simon Says Stamp Christmas / Happy Holidays Challenge too!

Check Out This FUSION Baby...

LOVED seeing everyone's FUSION creations this week - especially the sea-themed ones - I do love to be beside the seaside!!  Time for some more FAB inspiration this week.  Will you choose just the sketch - with these four panels open to WIDE interpretation, or this gorgeous collection of ties - just in time for Father's Day for some of you - or a FUSION of both.

Jackie's gorgeous sketch reminded me of this gorgeous die-cut window, and I honed in on the pink and yellow checks of the third tie from the right for my colour and pattern inspiration.  I repeated the window dressing checks with papers from Authentique on the Mama Elephant teddy's tummy to tie the design together.  I love the way the stitched teddy ties in with the stitched rectangle from Lil' Inkers.  I thought black ink would be too stark for a baby card, so I stamped the Mama Elephant sentiment using Hero Arts Cuppa Joe.

I can't wait to see what you create over in the FUSION gallery this week, and don't forget YOU get to vote for your favourite creations each week too!

Why don't you stop by the FUSION Design Team blogs for even more inspiration!

Sunshine, Freedom & A Little Flower...

Inspired by the colours from this fortnights floral CR84FN Challenge and this versatile sketch from The Paper Players, I christened my Gorjuss Little Foxes girl and flower in Stampin' Up Chocolate and paper pieced them using a mix of Authentique, Basic Grey and Studio Calico papers, with her hair coloured using Copic E59 Walnut. The sentiment sticker is also from Authentique Carefree, finished off with dark brown hemp cord from The Ribbon Carousel.

Hope you have a FABULOUSLY crafty weekend & don't forget to stop by
The Alley Way Stamps blog for your chance to win some great new stamps!

Monkey Business... Behind the Alley Sneak Peek - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Behind the Alley Sneak Peeks.  This guy just reminds me of a used car salesman, and of course selling coconuts is the perfect business for a monkey to be in LOL!  This card was created using the FAB new The Alley Way Stamps Tropic Topic and Alphabet Soup, with this gorgeous over-sized tie from Tie One On, with papers from Authentique, and inspired by this great Deconstructed Sketch.

Don't forget you still have a couple of days to comment and win The Alley Ways Stamps by visiting the Behind the Alley Blog Hop or leaving a comment here :)

Tomorrow's forecast...Less is More at the Play Date Cafe!

This is one of those cards I love the idea of more than I love the finished card, I still love the card - I just love the idea of it more lol!  How cute is the "country theme" in the inspiration photo at The Play Date Cafe this week, I ran with it, creating patchwork clouds from Authentique Glory with a little Lily Bee Designs Double Dutch too.  There may be too many ideas going on here to still make it a CAS card, but it is still shaped for the Less is More Challenge!  This gorgeous sentiment was part of the Flourishes April Showers I was lucky enough to win recently, stamped onto a McGill Fancy Square.

Back with more soon!

Colour Q - Hope Perches on the Soul...

Inspired by this weeks gorgeous combination of blue-greens and purples by Colour Q.  This gorgeous bird on a branch die cut is by Marianne Design, the scalloped circle is a Marvy punch, papers by Authentique Gathering, MME On the Bright Side - Two, and a special Australian Papercraft paper by docrafts.  This gorgeous sentiment stamp by Verve has been stamped in Versa Colour Violet - as much as I love this colour, makes me wish I had a few more Stampin' Up ink colours.

We can always live in hope :)

Mojo Monday on a Saturday Afternoon...

Inspiration from this weeks Mojo Monday, tipped over!  Papers are a mix from My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side - Two, Authentique Gathering and Kaisercraft Devonshire Collection, the little pearls are from Kaisercraft too.  The nested frames are from Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles, and the scalloped edge from My Favourite Things.  I love this sentiment from Verve Stamps Blue Skies.  Even though my style leans more towards CAS, I do enjoy playing with pretty papers, layer upon layer upon layer - and it gives me a chance to practice my sewing too :)

Hope your dreams are safe today too!

PS.  Linky tool is not working on Mojo Monday site at present,
hoping to load this up when it gets fixed.

Paper Smooches Adventure...

Before I tell you about todays card, I just wanted to say a big hello & welcome to all those lovely people who have recently joined as followers - I love sharing this craft and it is a privilege to have you along for the adventure :)

This card was inspired by this fortnightly photo from Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.  I love the natural textures and colours, along with the nautical and time theme - perfect for a little boys card.  I created the waves by using the negative pieces created when I used an EK Success Scalloped Edge punch - you can achieve a similar effect with any scalloped edge - just turn the negative punch out up-side-down and you have an instant wave!  The clouds are from the gorgeous new Paper Smooches Whimsical, and the time-related sentiment is stamped using Paper Smooches Alphadots.  For a change, I tried stamping with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Faded Jeans to keep with the stonewashed feel.  Papers are a combination of MME On The Bright Side - Two, Authentic Gathering, and the pirate ship and treasure island are cut of from Grace Taylors Playtime.  Finally, I mounted the scene on white cardstock to reflect the white edging around the clock.

Once again, thanks for joining me on this adventure!
