A Little ConFUSION...

Welcome back for another fabulous week of FUSION inspiration!  What will inspire you this week - this fabulous sketch from Jackie?  Or this fabulous inspiration photo from Lesley - with it's bright bold elements? Or a FUSION of both???
This week I was particularly inspired by the gorgeous teal background, the combination of bright bold colours, the owl theme, the wooden table and flowers.  I stamped my There She Goes owl trio onto a combination of lightly patterned papers - woodgrain for papa owl, floral for mama owl and chevrons for baby owl.  I love that these little guys look so shocked in response to the Lil Inkers sentiment LOL! I created my stripes by pop dotting the top layer of white cardstock, creating negative space for the teal background paper to peep through.  Unusually for me I actually used patterned papers from just one collection today, Echo Park Here & Now.

Why don't you stop by the FUSION Design Team blogs for even more inspiration!

There She Goes, Just in CASE...

Torico's gorgeous TSG card
I fell in love with this gorgeous card by Torico, so when this weeks There She Goes Challenge was CASE a Trendsetter, I thought I was set, but alas I left it too late.  I couldn't miss the opportunity though, so I'm playing along with this fab Dynamic Duos and linking up with Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes instead.

There She Goes all Moxie Fab...

The first thing I thought of when I saw this weeks Tuesday Trigger Cross My Heart Challenge was this home-made looking grid paper from MME, perfect for sitting on this teal blue base.  I thought I'd create a heart card inspired by this card, but as I don't have any heart embossing folders, I thought I'd substitute these fab polka dots instead.  I punched out a folk heart and used it as a template to hand cut my heart aperture.  The sentiment is a combination of Paper Smooches Alphadot, and There She Goes Day & Night, perfect for playing along with this weeks TSG Inspiration Challenge.

I just realised when reading this that a lot of "thought" goes into my creating! LOL!

There She Goes Inspired by Freshly Made...

I had so much FUN making this card.  Inspired by this weeks fab Freshly Made Sketch and the There She Goes Inspiration Challenge - I don't know why but old bikes just remind me of home!  I love the combination of gingham, wood and hand stitched heart (from Laurel's Inspired By Challenge), I think they compliment these cute house and sun stamps and sentiment from There She Goes perfectly.

Happy Bird-day...

Loved the folk art style of this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Happy Birthday to You, celebrating Cath's Mums special day. Loved the colours, the flowers inside the little birds wing, the wood grained background panel & freestyle letters - I achieved mine by reverse stamping my letters onto the back of the patterned papers using Elsie Flannigan letters for the smaller alphas and Autumn Leaves for the larger letters, then fussy cutting them and filling inside  the "a"s with patterned papers. Papers are a mix of Echo Park, October Afternoon and Crate Paper, with this cute chicken stamp from Purple Onion Designs.

There She Goes Just Hanging Out...

I've seen so many amazingly creative cards for the current Moxie Fab World 75 Creative Card Challenges Week #60 Make a Card with a Window, that I just had to join in.  I created my window by using a blue cardstock base and removing a rectangular section from the front of the card.  I created a wood grain tree and branch for the side and top of the window (sandwiching the branch between the front wood grain panel and the blue cardstock panel) then securing the sentiment to create the base of the window.  I paper pieced the monkey behind and in front of the branch so he's securely hanging out LOL! The cute monkey, branch and sentiment are all There She Goes, perfect for this weeks There She Goes Wood Grain Challenge.  My branch and monkey are paper pieced too, perfect for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Paper Piecing Challenge.

Bee Mine...

Thought I'd have a little fun with negative die cutting again, combining the first fab CAS(E) this Sketch for the year with There She Goes "Love is in the Air" Challenge.  I just love the little bee and trail stamps from There She Goes, paired with My Favourite Thing Dynamic tall die cut letters, perfect for a Valentine Bee Mine card.  Using masking tape to align the letters and adhere to your cardstock before cutting, it makes creating faster & straighter LOL!

There She Goes on a Mojo Throwdown...

Had so much fun getting messy with inks last week, thought I'd have another go!  Inspired by this gorgeous photo from There She Goes, this lovely pastel palette from Colour Throwdown, and fab Mojo Monday Sketch.  Papers are a combination of Prima Songbird Collection (fussy cut and pop-dotted), Echo Park This & That and MME Miss Caroline, My Favourite Things scalloped border and hearts die-cuts, love this birdhouse die-cut from Marianne Design and the gorgeous sentiment is There She Goes Day or Night. Got inky with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo and twine is The Twinery Buttercup.

We're off for a short change of scenery - have a GREAT weekend!

There She Goes all Retro...

A super quick post before I rush off to work!  Can't wait for the There She Goes Mother of All Bloghops this weekend, so I decided to get a head start.  Inspired by this weeks Retro Sketch and TSG May Flowers Challenge.  These gorgeous stamps are from There She Goes, and the papers are Three Bugs in A Rug.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Tell you why I DO like Mondays :)

Who couldn't love Mondays with these three great challenges!  Todays inspiration comes from these funky colours at Colour Q, this great sketch from Mojo Monday, and this weeks Ribbon Challenge at There She Goes.  And if that wasn't enough, TGS has a fantastic sale on this week, with proceeds going to the Make a Wish Foundation!

LOVE, love, love this funky colour combo, and I have been itching to try these gorgeous puppy stamps and sentiments from There She Goes.  In case you can't read it, the sentiment reads "A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the nicest things you can be".  The puppies are coloured using black, red and pumpkin Marvy Markers - I added some spots to the smaller dog and gave them matching pumpkin-coloured noses and red collars.  I paper pieced the grass and die cut and pop-dotted the heart shape from My Favourite Things.  The papers are a mix from Kaisercraft and SEI, but would work fantastically using Stampin' Up papers too.  This gorgeous ribbon and cute paw-print brad are from my stash.  I knotted an extra piece of ribbon around my the flat piece across the page - it's much easier to end up with the words where you want them using this method!

I hope you are having a glorious weekend too - and looking forward to Monday :)

This made me smile too!

There She Goes, Out of This World...

I don't know about you, but I never seem to have enough male-themed cards in my collection.  My very first There She Goes Stamps arrived this week, so it was a perfect time to break them out and make boy card perfect for the There She Goes Sketch Challenge.

My very first copic coloured card too - chose an easy image to start me on my copic way, this gorgeous astronaut and moonscape, with matching sentiment from There She Goes Out of this World.  I die-cut a series of stars using My Favourite Thing Stacking Stars, and punched the star border with a Martha Stewart border punch.  I pierced a hole in the astronauts space suit and threaded some Sew Easy Fancy Floss through the space suit and tethered it to a star.  Papers are a combination of MME Lime Twist, Echo Park Dots & Stripes and SEI Happy Day.  The astronaut was pop dotted so he looks like he is floating away.

Judging from the look on DS face when he saw this, I can tell this is going to become a well-used stamp set :)

PS. My hubby started reading this post over my shoulder and exclaimed in disappointment..."Aren't I enough of a male-themed card for you!" LOL

There She Goes with Ribbons...

Whilst I'm waiting for my There She Goes stamps (even more tempting with their 15% off sale), I thought I'd join in this weeks Colour Challenge of Olive, Rose and Razzleberry with papers from MME Lost and Found Two in Blush.  I love this olive crushed velvet ribbon I've been saving for a rainy day - well a special occasion anyway.  I slightly adapted this weeks gorgeous Ribbon Carousel Sketch and added a button-centred flower.  I feel it could have benefitted from some stitching, to keep with the theme - but I just don't trust my machine - or perhaps my sewing ability!

I hope your day is a special occasion!

There She Goes on a CASual Play Date...

Loving the brights this week at The Play Date Cafe - decided that I am definitely a brights girl when it comes to crafting.  I combined this weeks stunning colour palette with this weeks CAS-ual Friday paper piecing challenge and There She Goes negative die cut challenge.  The lighter blue cloud and grass are created from negative die cuts in the white cardstock.  The gorgeoous Paper Smoochers sun and WeR Memory Keepers bee are stamped onto October Afternoon paper and cut out, and together with the darker blue clouds are all pop-dotted for added dimension.  The sentiment is Paper Smooches too.

Hope the sun is shining in your corner of the world too!

PS. This put a smile on my face too :)

Friendship blossoms...

Love the gorgeous cherry blossoms and the tall glass shapes in this weeks inspiration photo from There She Goes combined with this weeks super colour challenge over at Colour Q, and I couldn't go past this fabulous sketch from Less is More

As I think I have more Valentines Day cards then Valentines to send them to, I designed this card as a frienship card - although Love blossoms does have a certain ring to it too :)  Inside reads ...in every season.

The cherry blossoms are created using Cheery Lyn Cherry Blossom die-cuts, then dabbing a little of Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink and some LuminArte Pink Azalea to create the darker centres.  The blossom stamen are created by using a double length of white embroidery thread knotted in the centre then threaded from the top through the centre hole and double-sided taped to the underside of the flower to hold in place - and to secure the blossoms to the page.  The branch is one of My Favourite Things - literally too!!!

Will soon find out how the kiddies went at their first day back at school - hope friendship blossoms for them, and you, too.
