FUSION Happy Birthday Fishes

Happy Halloween! 

Drew inspiration from this fortnights fabulous FUSION sketch and photo theme. 

Layers of patterned paper die-cuts with Lil Inkers stitched oval, Winnie & Walters "Happy", Simon Says "Birthday" and Avery Elle cupcake dies.

FUSION Floral Wall Birthday Wishes...

Super fun FUSION this fortnight, inspired by this gorgeous photo and colour pallette, I fussy cut some cute flowers from an old sheet of SEI patterned paper and backed this with teal weathered wood background paper from My Mind's Eye, together with diecut Lawn Fawn letters for Happy and Ali Edwards (or it could be Studio Calico) scripty Birthday.

21st Birthday FUSION Fun...

Super fun inspiration this fortnight at FUSION, just in time for my niece's 21st, although I hope Cyclone Oma does not rain on her celebrations!

 Created this super CAS matching card and envelope combo inspired by the rainbow stripes and fabulous FUSION sketch. Created using Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine patterned paper, Paper Smooches Number dies and Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle die. 

 Remember you can be inspired by just the sketch, just the inspiration photo, or a FUSION of the two as I have - and with such gorgeous inspiration, who wouldn't be?!?

Pastel FUSION

Inspired by the gorgeous pastel colours and fabulously versatile sketch of this fortnight's FUSION. Kept it simple with diecuts all the way! Simon Says Butterfly Drift in Echo Park pastel spotted papers paired with layers of Winnie and Walters Happy sentiment.

FUSION Citrus "Bearday" Wishes...

Inspired by the gorgeous pops of orange and yellow in the citrus FUSION inspiration photo this fortnight, I created my background panel using alcohol inks on Yupo paper, with a touch of gold foil highlights. Stamped any fussy cut the cute Koala Bear, and layered with these fabulous diecuts, all from Uniquely Creative.

Daisied and conFUSIONed...

Love that we are almost in Spring on this side of the world, and there is nothing like some gorgeous daisies to brighten up your day wherever you are!

 Inspired by this gorgeous sketch and happy colours of the FUSION inspiration photo this fortnight, I combined these super cute stitched daisy diecuts from MFT with a stitched circle from Lil Inkers, atop a scrap of perfect baby blue paper from my stash. I might have just happened to pick up these gorgeous Uniquely Creative diecut sentiments from Paperific, where I thought I would make an effort to support home grown companies!

Rustic FUSION Flowers...

Super fun creating a shaker card for this fortnights FUSION, combining a panel on clear acetate with a smaller opaque panel. Love this gorgeous Altenew Rose diecut from a variety of MFT coloured cardstock. The shaker is filled with a combination of Auzz Trinkets and Simon Says Moonshine Sequins, topped with Lily Bee Letter Stickers to create the birthday sentiment.

FUSION Fun



This weeks FUSION vintage picnic vibe is heaps of fun to play with, and I flipped the sketch for an added bit of flair. Using alcohol inks on Yupo paper and blotting excess ink with paper towel to create the patterned variations in colour, I paper pieced behind this super gorgeous Altenew die cut rose and paired with MFT die cut birthday sentiment.

Paper Smooches Birthday Fishes...

Super Summer colour inspiration at Paper Smooches this month, great to keep your mind off the cold winter mornings! Created using Paper Smooches stamps and sentiment, Lil Inkers sun and stitched circle diecuts, together with an MFT scalloped border for the waves. Created the watercolour sea then layered the paper pieced scene.

Celebrating hubby's birthday and just in time to play along with the fabulously fabulous AAA Cards 4th Big Birthday Bash. Created using Paper Smooches dairy nice cows and sentiment for a "Happy Birthday Two Moo" birthday card, paired with country inspired sunshine gingham checked paper.

Floral FUSION Cupcakes...

I've gone for a more vintage vibe for the fabulous FUSION challenge this fortnight. Inspired by both the super versatile FUSION sketch and super cute cupcakes, this birthday card was created using Distress Ink Ground Espresso to stamp Avery Elle Cupcakes stamp, paired with the Avery Elle Cupcakes die cuts and sentiment, added Distress Ink Spun Sugar to stamp Your Next Stamp Mini Flower Splatter and added a sprinkling of buttons from my stash and distressed the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide.

Happy Birthday, Just Add Alcohol...


Playing around with alcohol inks on Yupo paper, this time combining greens and blues. As the pattern emerged it looked like a sea of poppies, so I emphasised this by highlighting the centres with gold alcohol ink. Paired with these gorgeous diecuts including the stitched frame, Happy and stitched fishtail flag from MFT, and gold heat embossed sentiment from Avery Elle. FUSION Don't be Allama-ed...


Don't be allama-ed! So happy I had a chance to create a second FUSION card, inspired by the sketch and colours at FUSION this fortnight. Created using a combination of dies from Winnie & Walter (Happy), Papertrey Ink (Birthday) and Flora and Fauna (Alpaca and cactii).

Gorjuss FUSION

Had so much fun breaking out my NBUS Gorjuss diecut balloon girl to play along with this fortnights FUSION. Taking inspiration front this fabulous FUSION sketch and gorgeous FUSION inspiration photo, borrowing the book page and a mostly neutral monotone pallet. Diecut and layered my Gorjuss girl and paired with a layered happy sentiment from Winnie and Walter.

FUSION Birthday Celebrations


Seriously had so much fun with this FUSION birthday challenge card! Taking inspiration from both this super cute inspiration photo and super versatile sketch combined. Paired this gorgeous Purple Onion owl paper pieced with woodgrain and watercolour paper, with this cool script and sentiment from Lil Inkers. Background paper was created buy first wetting some watercolour paper then spritzing with Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmermist in Peacock, as is the owls hat and sentiments.

Winnie & Walter Rainbows for World Card Making Week...

 



Had such fun inking up and making rainbows for the WInnie and Walter World Card Making Day challenges. Created one for the Winnie and Walter Rainbow Challenge with Lea, then couldn't help myself but use the reverse scraps to make a second card to also play along with Winnie and Walter Variations with Shay.

Created using Winnie and Walter's The Party stamp set, In a Word: Happy Cutaway and Essentials: Audrey Cutaways. The rainbow background was created using Tim Holtz Distressed Inks in Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Shabby Shutters, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord. 

 Also playing along with Seize the Birthday and CASology Odd Challenge (odd number of words, letters in "happy", balloon and colours too!).
