It's beginning to look a lot like...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Card Challenge time!

Both cards are created using Memory Box Country Scenery die cut paired with Winnie and Walter Peace sentiment.

Card 1 is a shaker card, complete with Winnie and Walter Snow Mask in texture paste background, with Snowflake and Moonbeam sequins.

Card 2 is diecut and coloured then the diecuts are inlaid flat in the diecut background a la Jennifer McGuire. Distress Oxides used were Faded Jeans, Black Soot and Squeezed Lemon, then added a star diecut from MFT Shining Stars in black cardstock already heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold.

FUSION Striped Wreath

Super fun FUSION this fortnight! As we do not traditionally celebrate Halloween here in Australia, I decided to create a Christmas card, (especially as it is only 10 weeks til Christmas - eek!). I combined the fabulously versatile FUSION sketch and the lime green and striped wreath inspiration, using Winnie and Walters Seasons Tweetings stamps and Heidi Swapp patterned papers. Pop dotted to emphasise the layers.

Christmas Joy @ FUSION...

Time for more fun @ FUSION this fortnight!
With inspiration from the fabulously versatile FUSION sketch and the colours (with an added pop of red!) and Christmas theme from the super Joyful inspiration photo, I combined this gorgeous poinsettia stamp from Uniko Studio, stamped heat embossed, fussy cut and layered, with this scripty sentiment from Mama Elephant, and a few rhinestones for a bit of extra Christmas sparkle. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I used rhinestones on a card - can you?

Love to see how you are inspired by FUSION photo, sketch or both!
Hope you get a chance to play along!

CAS(E) this Sketch on a Merry Monday...

Stamped these gorgeous Mama Elephant deer and bird silhouette images in Momento ink onto Lawn Fawn patterned paper, only to find you could still see the background through the image. Not wanting to see my patterned paper go to waste, I stamped onto plain paper in Watermark ink and heat embossed with Copper for the deer, and clear over red Momento ink for the bird, fussy cut and adhered the heat embossed images over my original stamping - patterned paper crisis averted!

The circular shaker box was created using Lil Inkers Stitched Circle and Dienamics Circle diecuts, to create a sandwich of foam sheet, clear acetate, and inserting "snow" glitter before adhering to the stamped pattern paper base. Added snow drift created using Mama Elephant diecut, and topped with Simon Says Stamp "Merry" sentiment.

So glad you could stop by!

Mojo Merry Christmas...

In an attempt to beat the mojo blues, this was the first card I created on my crafty Sunday. I revisited a couple of pieces from my stash which I had created when I went crafting for the weekend about a year ago. This gorgeous vintage Santa stamp had been embossed with Red Tinsel, and the Christmas Carol stamped in Brushed Corduroy Distressed Ink. I paired these with some gorgeous self-patterned velvet ribbon and some tiny pearl beads, then added this gorgeous Winnie and Walter "Merry" die cut and "Christmas" sentiment stamped in Momento Luxe Olive Grove Ink - a perfect match to the Basic Grey paper, inked the edges with more Brushed Corduroy Distressed Ink and voila - the mojo is back :)

World Card Making Day with Winnie & Walter & Hop to Stop...

Created by first cutting a background panel of watercolour paper with Winnie and Walter Essentials: Katherine Cutaways and washing with watercoloured Gelatos, stamped with Winnie and Walter Winter Wonderland pine branches and heat embossed in Silver Tinsel, added snowfall using Metallic Silver embossing paste and Winnie and Walter Scenery: Big Bang Circle Creative Screenings, then stamping in Wedding White with Winnie and Walter Scenery: Big Bang Confetti. Partially cut a second panel piece to create the snow drift, stamped the Winnie and Walter Winter Wonderland reindeer twice, once on the watercolour panel, and once on a scrap piece of cardstock and heat embossed with Silver Tinsel, as was the fabulous sentiment then diecut with Winnie and Walter Winter Wonderland. Sentiment, snowdrift and reindeer are pop dotted. Playing along with:

I do hope you can squeeze in a little pre-Christmas crafting time to play along with the final FUSION for 2014, and it's a fabulous one! Inspired by the natural elements, and gingham bows, this card was created using MFT Wreath die cuts, including the cute gingham bow die cut from Kaisercraft paper, and a die cut Papertrey Ink Peace sentiment, against a Simple Stories distressed wooden background.

Mixed Media Card Challenge - Home (Lace Optional)

I love this sentiment stamp from MFT, and knew I wanted to use it as soon as I saw this months theme for the Mixed Media Card Challenge was "Home". The shaker box card was created using white cardstock oversprayed with Heidi Swapp Gold, filled with a combination of Ruby Rock-It Snow White coarse glitter and red hearts inside the shaker. I love that when you stand the card upright, all the little hearst and snow disappears behind the Memory Box Countryside die cut, so all the hearts do come "home" for Christmas! The MFT sentiment is stamped in gold and embossed in gold, and I love the little detail the Lil Inkers Stitched Circle die-cuts add.

Hope you get to play along, I can't wait to see what you create!
