Another Year Wiser with FUSION...

Super fun with this fortnight's FUSION. Love this gorgeous FUSION inspiration photo, perfect for paper piecing with Paper Smooches cutie Hooties owl. Mixed and matched with Paper Smooches alphabet sets, Graffiti, Alphadot and Mini Monograms, with a Whimsical branch. Couldn't resist using the "Accomplished" dictionary page as a background. I keep thinking this would make a super cool card with a diagonal pocket to slip an owl bookmark into!

Lucky Days FUSION

This fortnights FUSION challenge is filled with the luck of the Irish, so I thought I'd celebrate around the world! I thought it was super fitting too seeing as we will be heading off around the other side of the world in a few weeks, to join DD on exchange in Paris.

Created using the gorgeous (and Never Been Used Schtuff) Neat and Tangled Origami Map die cut and stamps, paired with these super cute Create a Stamp Crystal Letters alphabet stamps. Both the map and letters were stamped in white ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder, over watercolour backgrounds created using Twinkling H2Os, with added shimmer and a wooden frame, picking up on the textural elements from the inspiration photo.

A Jumbo CAS(E) of Happy Birthday...

Inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch I remembered a project I had started a while back and this gave me the shove I needed to finally get around to putting this jumbo sized card all together! 

Old dictionary paper background was turned into a sky using Mama Elephant Stitched Borders as a template, together with Distress Inks. Mama Elephant Make a Wish sentiment stamped and embossed in black, added Mama Elephant Up and Away extra sentiment, and stamped and fussy cut red watercolour balloons adding fussy cut Mama Elephant Ella and Friends elephant.

Celebrate in Pink with FUSION

Inspired by the versatile FUSION sketch and fabulous graphic colours and patterns in the FUSION inspiration photo, this week I had a play with my Gelatos to watercolour the pink layer used to fussy cut behind the carnations diecut, pop-dotted for added dimension over the two Lil Inkers stitched square and rectangles, and fussy cut MME paper chevron border. I just love this gorgeous WPlus9 birthday sentiment, and denim look MME patterned paper.

Full of Love for FUSION...

OK I have to admit, I do {heart} how this card turned out! I seem to be on a roll with my red and woodgrain cards LOL!

Inspired by these fabulous FUSION paper hearts and super cool FUSION sketch, the sentiment is stamped using Dina Wakley's Scribbly Alphabet, combined with Amy Tangerine's Today Thickers foam hearts, filled in with MME red polka dotted paper, and backed with MME woodgrained paper on a red cardstock base, with the front of the card offset about one inch compared to the back.

such a fabulous gallery of talent!

This fortnight I was inspired by love! Combining the woodgrain, spotted elements and wreath theme from the super cool FUSION inspiration photo, together with a loose interpretation of the inspiration sketch. I used my super cute spotted Verve heart die cuts to create a wreath of hearts just in time for Valentines. I love that the hearts ended up almost looking like a nordic inspired Christmas snowflake decoration too! Patterned papers are MME spots and Kaisercraft woodgrain, paired with Crate Papers' Open Book chipboard "Love You" sentiment.
