Playing along with the fabulous 2018 Spring and Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop. Created using a combination of papers and ephemera from Cocoa Vanilla Endless Story and Tersa Collins Tell Your Story. Cute cup die cut from Mama Elephant and "perfect" die cut from Verve. Started with the sketch from The Paper Players as inspiration, but it strayed a little in its execution! Loving the sentiment quote from Mother Teresa, "We cannot always go great things, but we can do small things with great love".

Coral Flower FUSION
Feeling a little under the weather this week? Hope the FUSION inspiration is enough to put a spring back in your step!
Inspired by the fabulous FUSION sketch and photo, I die cut these gorgeous stitched blooms from MFT and coloured them using Distressed Oxides in Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint and Antique Linen. Added an MFT Dienamics Scalloped Edge and Mama Elephant Flag die cut, stamped with MFT Anything But Basic Birthday Wishes sentiment, and popped on a couple of pearl accents for flower centres, (perfect for playing along with Double D's Bling it Up challenge too!)
Hope you can join in the fun this fortnight @ FUSION.

You're Jawsome!
LOVE this cool shark and his JAWsome matching sentiment from MFT, just perfect for a little (or BIG) boy's birthday card. Background created using alcohol inks on opaque Yupo (although I think baking or tracing paper may work just as well), dripped on the light blue, dark blue and yellow inks and blotted off the excess with ridged paper towel to create the mottled colour effect. Die cut with Dienamics scalloped edge to create the waves, then stamped and fussy cut the shark from grey cardstock and stamped the sentiment on and MFT fishtail flag - naturally lol!
Playing along with CASology Marine
and "Less is More" Yellow/Blue/Grey -
although the yellow got very blended into the sea!

The Harbour FUSION
Looking back, I realised it has been just over 5 years since my very first post on the original FUSION design team! How time flies when you are having fun!
Playing with heat embossing and masks to create for FUSION this fortnight. Using the super versatile sketch turned on its side, I heat embossed this Reverse Confetti Shine from Within sentiment in Liquid Platinum Ranger embossing powder. It is amazing how different this embossing looks at night compared to in daylight - almost night and day lol! The light rays were created using Law Fawn white ink and MFT sun ray mask. Added a panel of fussy cut chevron paper to represent the sea and topped with these gorgeous Ocean Lighthouse and Waves die cuts by Memory Box. I die cut the lighthouse from the same wood grained patterned paper used in my last post.
Hope you can join in the fun this fortnight @ FUSION.

Happy Little Stampers Starry Christmas...
Having fun with a friends Concord & 9th diecut Christmas letters. Substituted the "L" with that from Altenew Upper Case Alphabet as "NOEL" was too wide to diecut and fit on standard 6 inch patterned paper pad. Cut a second wreath from white cardstock, coloured with Juniper Distressed Oxide, replaced back into the "o" and used this as my front panel for a shaker card filled with Studio Calico wooden stars instead of the usual sequins. Created to join in the fun at Happy Little Stampers Christmas May Challenge with optional stars.

Happy Birthday, Just Add Alcohol...
Playing around with alcohol inks on Yupo paper, this time combining greens and blues. As the pattern emerged it looked like a sea of poppies, so I emphasised this by highlighting the centres with gold alcohol ink. Paired with these gorgeous diecuts including the stitched frame, Happy and stitched fishtail flag from MFT, and gold heat embossed sentiment from Avery Elle. Playing along with the new to me Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge - check it out!
