Winnie & Walter & Simon Says Stamp a One Layered Rainbow in Less than 10 Minutes...

I just had to join in the fun with Winnie & Walter Share the Love featuring Simon Says Stamp. With five challenges currently on the Winnie & Walter blog (in addition to the Winnie & Walter August Release Tour with the Stars), I thought I would combine the Rainbow, One Layer and Craft Dash (create a card in less than 10 Minutes) Challenges. I am not sure exactly how long this took to make, but with my trusty timer out of batteries (maybe trusty is a bit of a misnomer!) I asked DS to turn on the kitchen timer for 10 minutes, and it hadn't gone off before I finished. Created with Winnie & Walter's The Big, The Bold & the You, paired with Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Sentiments and Momento Luxe inks in Love Letter, Morocco, Dandelion, Pear Tart and Bahamas Blue.

Craft Dash tips:
  • Choose a simple design
  • Use a Fiskars stamp press (or similar) to make aligning the stamps a breeze!

Addicted to CAS and Luxury - August Guest Designer

I have had a FABULOUS time this month as Guest Designer with Addicted to CAS - and LUCKY for me, there are three challenges this month!!! The code word for this fortnight is LUXURY, and the first thing I thought of was a wedding card.  To me luxury in card making is all about texture, you feel like you just want to reach out and touch anything luxurious! So I created my card with a base of linen textured and pearlised pale gold cardstock, which I partly embossed with this gorgeous Tim Holtz embossing folder, and added a dark red velvet ribbon, threaded through this stunning silver Maya Road buckle I had been hoarding in my stash.

So get out your best crafting stash (you know, the stuff you have been saving for a special occassion!) and get creating!

And just in case you get stuck for ideas, the Design Team has some FANTASTIC inspiration at Addicted to CAS - drop by their blogs and say hello - you know you want too!

I have had these Halloween photos and mini-album sitting in my "wish list of projects to do" for almost 5 years! When I saw the fabulous new Winnie and Walter stamps, I knew exactly what I was going to create! Whilst I have mainly focused the fabulously spooky Moonlight stamps and cut files for this project, (even using it to create my own patterned paper for the front and back covers), I have also incorporated stamps from A Tree For All Seasons (the tree makes a FANTASTICALLY haunted tree in black, and the circle is a perfect full moon) and This Awesome House (see the black cat hiding in the branches!)

The gorgeous Winnie and Walter Moonlight pumpkins and faces are super cute highlights for pumpkin carving photos!

I just LOVE the fabulous Winnie and Walter Moonlight bats, and there is a great range of sentiments, just right for creating your own banners and titles, including "frightful and delightful"...

and "Eat, Drink and be Scary". There is also a brilliant variety of spiders webs, for creating border highlights, or the perfect corner to hide a spider...

Or two...
To add some more dimension to your project, Winnie and Walter sets have some amazing cut files too, this spider and "Eek" from the Moonlight cut files, add a whole lotta spooky, with A Tree For All Seasons and This Awesome House are available in cut files too.

Can you spot the element from This Awesome House? That's right, the gorgeous wrought iron fence. Also featuring Moonlight "31" as a full moon, and I love the font used in the fishtail flag "spooktacular" and "haunting" too!

The "trick or treat" sentiment comes up a treat when orange glitter embossed against black...

and all the sentiments and graphics are perfect to create your own patterned paper...

I hope you have as much fun on the
as we had in creating these projects for you!

In case you get lost, here's a complete list of the TOUR...

A FUSION Full of Hope..

I had so many fabulous ideas looking at this fortnight's FUSION inspiration photo and sketch, but in the end I decided to go CAS and focus on the colours, the textures, the stars, the swirls and the weathered wood of the inspiration photo.

I die cut this gorgeous star from MFT using Kaisercraft paper, and placed it on my mini scoreboard, with the patterned side down, then scored from the point of each star tip to its diagonal opposite. Once I had done this, I folded along each scoreline, then inverted the folds in between the points of the star, to create this 3D star. The stamps are both from Autumn Leaves, a company sadly no longer with us. Both stamped in Versamark Watercolour then heat embossed in Zing White. To add some more definition to the letters, I created shadow lines with a fine dark brown pen. The star was secured using liquid adhesive, and running my nail around the outer edges of the star to secure it to the card front. Finally the front panel was added to a kraft cardstock base.

Will you be inspired by the gorgeous distressed wood patina, the door, the colours, the swirls, the stars, or the textures in this fabulous inspiration photo, or this super versatile sketch, or both!

Addicted to CAS and Geometric - August Guest Designer

So happy to be back Guest Designing with the fabulous
Addicted to CAS team this fortnight!
With the Addicted to CAS code word Geometric
I had so many ideas I ended up making two cards today!

Winnie and Walter Pennant triangle stamps are FABULOUS for this challenge!
The sun was created by stamping the pennant triangles in Dandelion and Morocco Momento Luxe inks, with a die cut circle as the centre, stamped with this very fitting Verve sentiment.

The second card uses this gorgeous geometric giraffe and crazy sentiment by Altenew, stamped in Versamark Watermark and heat embossed in Zing Pewter, and randomly filled with these three fabulous bright Color Throwdown colours. The triangle chunks were cut by snipping the card at a right-angles to the side, then cutting along the top half of the triangle, and flipping that cut piece over as a mirror reverse template, to make ensure the larger triangle ended up equilateral.

Remember to visit the Addicted to CAS Challenge blog for some more
gorgeous Geometric inspiration from the team!

Card 2, playing along with Color Throwdown,
Virginia's View Shaped Cards,
Seize the Sketch and Less is More Animal too!

CASE Study 4th Anniversary, Inspired by Clare...

Joining in the 4th Anniversary fun at CASE Study with a card inspired by this gorgeous creation by Clare Buswell, and looking at Clare's card I probably should have tried to photograph mine with a coloured background too LOL! The lace strip stamp is by Kaisercraft and the lace doily and sentiment by MME, all stamped in Momento Luxe Bridal White, heat embossed with American Crafts Zing White. The Simon Says Stamp leaves were die cut in vellum and burlap - and I discovered that burlap die cuts don't always stay in one piece! So I used the individual burlap leaves as shadow highlights instead, and added some Kaisercraft pearls to finish.

Playing along with Little Red Wagon Embossing Challenge,
and I had this Clean & Simple Sketch lurking in the back of my mind
(flipped the sentiment to the other side and the ribbon became my leaves!)
