Scrapbooker's Paradise Guest Designer...

I'm honored to be the guest designer this week at the Playing in Paradise Challenge hosted by Scrapbooker's Paradise. This weeks Playing in Paradise Challenge prompt is this gorgeous watercolour.
Definitely inspired to go arty with the gorgeous strong colours and the curved lines from the inspiration photo - and as teal would have to be my favourite colour, I painted the sky teal!  Had heaps of fun creating this beautifully sparkly watercolour background using LuminArte paints - similar to the Twinkling H2Os available from Scrapbooker's Paradise. Word stickers are from Crate Paper, with Memory box die cut butterfly and Kaisercraft little pearls.
I hope you join in too...

Monkey Business... Behind the Alley Sneak Peek - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Behind the Alley Sneak Peeks.  This guy just reminds me of a used car salesman, and of course selling coconuts is the perfect business for a monkey to be in LOL!  This card was created using the FAB new The Alley Way Stamps Tropic Topic and Alphabet Soup, with this gorgeous over-sized tie from Tie One On, with papers from Authentique, and inspired by this great Deconstructed Sketch.

Don't forget you still have a couple of days to comment and win The Alley Ways Stamps by visiting the Behind the Alley Blog Hop or leaving a comment here :)

A Moxie Splatter Play Date...

I LOVE the Play Date Cafe Colour Challenges - and couldn't resist joining in this week, with this gorgeous splash of electric blue.  As the Moxie Fab Splatter Technique Challenge has been extended for a few more days, I couldn't resist inking up for fun too :)

My Heidi Swapp leaf mask was splattered with Glimmermist Black Magic and die cut with Couture Creations Victorian Square, and pop-dotted of course LOL!  The base layer of the Memory Box Darla and Vivienne die cut butterfly was created using LuminArte Ocean Wave splattered with Glimmermist Denim Blue. The gorgeous Verve Blue Skies sentiment was stamped in Versamark Dazzle Frost and heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White.  Love it when white embosses on black perfectly first time!

Hope your days keep getting better too :)

Are you fur reel?

I thought I'd join in this week for Do You Stack Up "Inspired by a Movie" Challenge, sponsored by The Alley Way Stamps.  My card was inspired by the movie Andre, based on the true story of a sea lion who befriended a family - FUR REEL!  The Alley Ways Reel Time film frame is stamped onto vellum using StazOn ink and the frames overlapped to create a filmstrip.  I discovered that my StazOn Ink had dried out a little and didn't get perfect coverage - but I really like the old-fashioned feel it creates - reminds me of the old black and white movies!  The Alley Ways Castaways seals are stamped onto Basic Grey, and pop dotted over this gorgeous Lily Bee floral paper - perfect for this fortnights CR84FN Color Challenge.  Sentiment is created using a combination of Chatterbox and Reel Time.

I can feel another Movie Night calling me!

A Whale of a Play Date More or Less...

Love these berry nice colours from this weeks Play Date Cafe montage!  Inspired by the water droplet from the first photo, and this weeks Less is More Something Shiny Challenge.  I keep thinking this little whale would make a fabulous addition to a party invitation.  Whale and spout are The Alley Way Sea Mates and sentiment is from Jibber Jabber, Mad Gab and Christmas Magic.  Papers are a mix of Basic Grey, embossed using Cuttlebug Swirls, with American Crafts ribbon, Kindyglitz sparkles for the whales spots and spout, and My Favourite Things scalloped border for the waves.

I wish I could go for a swim in the sea today - without a wet suit LOL!

This helped warm me up :)

Just Go with the Flow...

I almost feel sorry for this little guy with his eyes popping out of his head like that, he needs to learn to chillax and just go with the flow LOL!

Inspired by this weeks Scrapbooker's Paradise Under the Sea Challenge, this versatile Freshly Made sketch, and the colours and circles from the gorgeous inspiration photo from The Alley Way's Be Inspired Challenge.  Had fun embossing my acetate fish bubble with Cuttlebug Swirls for the CAS-ual Fridays Clear as Day Challenge.  Papers are Echo Park Paradise Beach with these fab fish and seaweed stamps from The Alley Way Stamps Castaways and sentiment from Mad Gab.  Don't forget you have until June 20 to enter into this months The Alley Way Be Inspired Challenge, and the chance to win some great free stamps!

This made me smile too :)

I Wish...

... I remembered to wash the ink off my hands before I folded this card - oops!

Inspired by the background fade to black and pop of turquoise and gorgeous pattern on the tea cups from this months Jay Gee Nook's Challenge.  It took a few attempts to get the stamping just right for the One Layer Less is More with a Flourish Challenge.  Stamps are a Paper Craft Alphabet with Vines, a miscellaneous dragonfly from my stash and Autumn Leaves Elegant Flourish, stamped in Momento Ink Black and Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise.  I'd have to say I think I need more practice to perfect this technique, and as I keep reminding my kids...
...Don't forget to wash your hands! LOL

There She Goes on a Mojo Throwdown...

Had so much fun getting messy with inks last week, thought I'd have another go!  Inspired by this gorgeous photo from There She Goes, this lovely pastel palette from Colour Throwdown, and fab Mojo Monday Sketch.  Papers are a combination of Prima Songbird Collection (fussy cut and pop-dotted), Echo Park This & That and MME Miss Caroline, My Favourite Things scalloped border and hearts die-cuts, love this birdhouse die-cut from Marianne Design and the gorgeous sentiment is There She Goes Day or Night. Getting Lucky...

Inside the card

"You know you're getting old when...getting lucky means finding your car in the parking lot"  Hope hubby gets lucky this weekend - otherwise we won't be able to go away for the long-weekend LOL!

Inspired by this weeks CAS-ual Fridays Sweet Spot Challenge, this gorgeous bright Colour Q palette, a fantastically versatile Freshly Made Sketch and Ribbon Carousel's Birthday Bash.  I love this cute bubble car stamp from The Alley Way Priceless Joy, and humourous sentiment by Skipping Stones Design.  Papers are Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival Collection - I even managed to line up the spots with the hub caps - and the road is Ribbon Carousel Twill.

Hope you are having a FABULOUS weekend!

In CASE of a Play Date...

CASE Study Card
Splatter Challenge
LOVE the Play Date Cafe inspiration photo this week, with all those watercolour arty images, and the gorgeous CASE Study card with all it's splatter!  I just had to get out my Glimmermists and have a play.  I created the background with a combination of Gold, Cherry Blossom and Creme de Chocolat.  The gorgeous stamps and sentiment are My Favourite Things Sheltering Tree. I diecut the My Favourite Things Sheltering Tree and two Spellbinders Scalloped Circles and added lots of pop-dots to create my tree.  Papers are MME Miss Caroline and Echo Park This & That, with a lacy ribbon from my stash.  Got inky with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo too!

As Cath has extended the deadline for the Moxie Fab Splatter Challenge, I'm linking this up too :)

I LOVE getting messy making cards - may have to do it again soon ;)

This made me smile :)
