A Flamingo FUSION...

I don't know why, but when I spied this gorgeous FUSION inspiration photo with all it's shiny pink and reflections of palm trees, the first things I thought of were Florida and flamingos! Combining the sketch and inspiration photo this fortnight, I paper pieced this cute TAWS flamingo, and paired it with the Mama Elephant die cut banner and "feeling tickled (pink!)" sentiment.

How to join in the fun...
1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Our Rules Page before playing along.

Can't wait to see how you will be inspired by this fortnight's FUSION!

The Design Team have some FABULOUS creations to inspire you!
The fabulous Amy Tsura is back on the team!

Please check the linky for the days left to play with us.

and a reminder there's still time to play in KIS Baby Challenge too!

Paper Smooches with Twinchies...

Today is the last day you can post your homework in the Pattern Play class, so as soon as I saw this weeks Paper Smooches Sparks Designer Drafts Challenge, I knew I wanted to have a play with this cool paper quilting technique for my background, using 1 inch by 2 inch pieces of paper (twinchies!), I created one panel of quilted paper and cut it into two pieces for the sketch.  I love this weeks Color Q combination of soft pinks, yellow and suede, and it was perfect timing to play with my left over scraps from this card, with a combination of My Mind's Eye and Lily Bee Designs papers, paired with these gorgeous Paper Smooches stamps, and Crate Paper wooden sentiment.  Added the faux stitching & updated the photo :) and linked to Paper Smooches May Guest Designer Search Challenge too.

Thank you so much for stopping by and saying hello - it's REALLY appreciated :)

Playing along with Pile It On Wooden Challenge too!

Retro Smooch with a Pink Twist...

It's that time of the month for the Paper Smooches Guest Designer Search, so I thought I'd add this into the mix.  Having fun playing along with extra homework for Pattern Play too - although I seem to be stuck on Day 1 LOL!  This fabulous Retro Sketch was perfect for creating white borders around your patterned papers.  I love this mix of My Mind's Eye and Lily Bee papers, Paper Smooches negative die cut ampersand and We Connect sentiment stamped in brown. I pop dotted the sentiment blocks and added these two Studio Calico love birds, and of course I had to tie-the-knot in the twine from my stash.

Catered Crop Twine Love Recipie Swap too.

This made me smile...

AMUSEing Pattern Play...

Laurie's fabulous MUSE card
I just couldn't go past a MUSE card with a negative die cut, especially when it's as fabulous as this card by Laurie!  I LOVE the teal, green and brown colour combo of Laurie's card, the gorgeous polka dots and overall design.  After having learned a few tricks in the recent Pattern Play class, I thought I'd up the ante and try for 5 patterns instead of the usual 3, with this combination of American Craft, Bo Bunny, Crate Paper and My Mind's Eye papers, together with the positive die cut Paper Smooches sentiment left over from my last card.  I used a MFT label to create my negative die cut frame, paired with a Spellbinders butterfly, using twine to create the body and antennae.  Perhaps a little OTT with the patterned paper, but a girl's got to experiment every once in a while!

Spring Chick...

Playing along with Paper Smooches Sparks Cool Shades Challenge, combined with some more homework from Pattern Play Day 1 too.  Patterned papers are a mix of Echo Park, Lily Bee and Bo Bunny, with this gorgeous spring chick from Paper Smooches, with the sentiment created by combining Spring Fling and Chubby Chums, with a few buttons from my stash.  Sketch is flipped from this weeks fab Retro Sketches by Lori.

A CAS(E) of Dynamic Chevrons...

Whenever I spy a yellow and black colour combo I think of sunshine & happiness, so when I spied this weeks Dynamic Duos soft yellow and black colour combo, this is what sprang to mind.  I thought I'd challenge myself to create a monochromatic chevron card, perfect for playing along with the Moxie Fab World Card Creations Week Chevron Challenge, and to get into warm up mode for the Pattern Play class commencing tomorrow.  I had based this originally on this weeks fabulously versatile CAS(E) this Sketch, but I'm not sure whether my tinkering has pushed it outside the boundary lines :)  The papers are a mix of MME papers, combined with Lil Inkers stitched Photo Frame - I love how the chevrons are cut so they create a trail of arrows around the frame.  This gorgeous camera is from Imaginesce Scooter's Vacation, and the sentiment is by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday.

Hope you have a fabulous day today :)
