Hoppy Easter FUSION...

"Hop" you have a fabulous Easter, and spare some crafty time to play along with FUSION this fortnight. Inspired by both the versatile FUSION sketch and super inspiration photo, this has to be one of my favourite Easter cards I have created to date - although I must admit it's mostly because of the too cute for words bunny suit from MFT (My Favorite Things). I stamped and fussy cut the bunny and paired it with gorgeous spotty paper from Lawn Fawn, h"o"ppy diecut from Winnie and Walter, MFT sentiment stamp and flair from Cocoa Vanilla.

To play along you can take inspiration from either the FUSION sketch or inspiration photo - or combine the two as I have!

Hop on over to the FUSION blog for some more super sized inspiration from our fabulous Design Team...

Hope you can join in the fun this fortnight @ FUSION.

So hope you can join in the fun at FUSION this fortnight, whether you are just winding down Summer or seeing the last of Winter, a little Spring colour goes a long way!

A Christmas FUSION...

Hope you get a chance to play along with FUSION this fortnight, in our last challenge for the year. So much fabulous inspiration from this gorgeous Christmas interior, and super versatile sketch!

I kept my card simple, taking inspiration from the white on white layering and Christmas candles. Layered this gorgeous Memory Box Christmas Candles diecut in white glitter paper, over a cardstock background, over vellum stamped in silver tinsel embossing powder using this gorgeous Verve sentiment.

Love to see how you are inspired by FUSION photo, sketch or both!

Christmas JOY...

Inspired by the gorgeous MUSE Christmas Club reindeer, I found this left over sparkly reindeer diecut in my stash on the weekend (I think it is WPlus9), and paired it with the "Joy" and tag diecuts from Winnie and Walter, together with two impressions of Tim Holtz Vintage Snowflake embossing folder strip to make this very simple CAS Christmas card.

Blue Christmas FUSION...

Welcome to a Blue Christmas FUSION

I was running behind this fortnight, and whipped up these Christmas cards using WPlus9 Festive Greetings, stamped in Momento Luxe Bahama Blue. Card number two also features Lil Inkers Stitched Square and Stitched Snowflake dies, together with Ali Edwards Christmas die. I couldn't decide which was my favourite, so I thought I would be cheeky and include both!

As usual, you can play along with FUSION using either this gorgeous photo inspiration, or this fabulously versatile sketch, or a combination of both.

Pop on by the Design Team blogs for some more super FUSION inspiration:

Hope to see you playing along, can't wait to see what you create!

Winnie & Walter Leading Lady - Week 3, Seasonal Shakers

Hi there Winnie and Walter friends and fans, it's that time again! It is an honour to bring you the next installment of Winnie and Walter Leading Lady inspiration. I hope you have been enjoying it so far, I know I have!

Remember to leave a comment on this post, or any of the Winnie and Walter Leading Lady posts on my blog throughout September for your chance to WIN a $30 gift card for Winnie and Walter, just for leaving a comment!

Wherever you are in the world, September sees you entering a new season, whether it be Spring, Autumn or Fall! So I thought I'd shake things up a little and create a Winnie and Walter seasonal celebration with...

SEASONAL SHAKERS...
The front panels for each of the shaker cards are created using Winnie and Walter cut files - Winter, Spring and Summer The Big, The Bold and the Seasons, and Autumn A Tree for all Seasons.

To create a shaker card you will also need:
  • Fabulous Winnie and Walter stamps
  • White cardstock for front panel and card base
  • Sequins
  • Clear acetate sheet from your local office supply store
  • Foam sheet from your local craft store
  • Circle die (to cut the foam layer)
  • Patterned paper (or be brave and make your own!)
  • (Lots) of double-sided tape!
Shaker cards are fun to make, but they can be tricky to photograph!

First up, "Winter Wishes"...
Layer 1: White cardstock cut using this gorgeous snowflake cut file from Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and the Seasons, and stamped in Soft Pool and Pool inks with Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and the Seasons sentiment. The cardstock is adhered with double-sided tape to...
Layer 2: a sheet of clear acetate, cut to the same size as the white cardstock front, then adhered using double-sided tape to...

Layer 3: a foam rectangle the same size as the white cardstock front, with a circle die-cut piece removed and the remaining "void" filled with a combination of silver snowflake sequins and some special "thank you" sequins from my last Winnie and Walter order, then sealed with double-sided tape to...
Layer 4: the Kaisercraft patterned paper background panel, then adhered using double-sided tape to...
Layer 5: the card base.

Next up "Spring Flowers"...
Featuring this cute flower cute file from Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and the Seasons, and stamped in Pear Tart and Angel Pink Momento Luxe inks with Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and the Seasons sentiment, filled with Verve Pastel sequins, with Fancy Pants patterned paper.

Next up "Celebrate Sun / Summer"
Featuring this fun sun cut file from Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and the Seasons, and stamped in Dandelion and Rose Bud Momento Luxe inks with Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and the Seasons sentiment (highlighting "sun" in yellow ink), filled with Neat and Tangled Pink Lemonade and Gold sequins, with Echo Park patterned paper.

And last but not least "Autumn Bliss"...
Featuring this fabulous leaf cut file from Winnie and Walter A Tree for all Seasons, and stamped in Lilac Posies and Morocco Momento Luxe inks with Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold and the Seasons sentiment, and filled with Neat & Tangled Festive Fall sequins and gold glass beads from my stash, with the background panel created using Luminarte paints on watercolour paper.
"Autumn Bliss" card playing along with

I hope you are inspired to try and create your own shaker card - whatever the reason and no matter the season!

Once again, a HUGE thanks to Shay and Julie for their generosity, and for this fabulous opportunity and to to Jenny for being my Silhouette saviour!

Happy Crafting & Hoppy Easter...

Just arrived back from one amazing long weekend spent in the company of ten fabulous fellow crafters! I have a sneaking suspicion there will be a few Lil Inkers and Mama Elephants orders soon LOL!

This card was inspired by CAS(E) This SketchScrapbook Boutique Easter Challenge, and CAS on Sunday Stitched Challenge, created using Lil Inkers Stitched Polaroid, combined with Mama Elephants Landscape Trio die-cuts and Honey Bunny stamps, together with this cute LaLa Land Flag Banner and papers from Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine and Let's Polka.

Love {Mama Elephant} today & always...

I thought I'd try a new to me technique which has been popular for a while, so to twist it up {and as Valentine's Day is around the corner} I thought I'd try bokeh in hearts rather than dots. Created using hearts from Mama Elephant Tree Friends, Bling and On Target, with the gorgeous silhouette and sentiment from So Breezy. Inspired by Mama Elephant Photo Inspiration Challenge, CAS on Sunday Lovely Dovey, Addicted to CAS New Challenge, and Curtain Call Love Letters Challenge. Stamped in a combination of Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks, Hero Arts Bubble Gum and Momento Luxe Rose Bud. Stamped the sentiment and girl in position first, then the hearts with the lightest colour first, building up to the darkest layer.

E.T.A... After I uploaded my card I discovered Lisa's Wanna Sketch has started for the year with the fabulous sketch below - and I couldn't resist linking mine up :)

A CAS(E) of Paper FUSION...

Ideally I may have re-stamped this using silver embossing powder, but even more ideally I wouldn't still be making Christmas cards this close to Christmas LOL.  But if you need some added Christmas inspiration, there is plenty about with this weeks CAS(E) this SketchPaper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect Challenge, CAS on Sunday Christmas Challenge and FUSION.  Created using Paper Smooches All Yule Need baubles, bow and sentiment paper pieced in Crate Papers Sleigh Ride patterned papers, with silver glitter paper and Silver Singo pen highlights.

A Lotta Joy with Lil Inkers...

This is about how I'd be feeling if I happened to be fortunate enough to be selected on the Lil Inkers Design Team!!! It could be you - if you live in the U.S. and love Lil Inkers as much as I do, as Laura has a Design Team call, closing soon.

This card was created using Lil Inkers Snow Mouse stamps, Stitched Polaroid, Stitched Squares and Joy sentiment die-cuts.  Papers are a combination of Crate Paper Bundled Up and MME Collectable "Notable", finished with Kaisercraft pearls.

In case you are wondering how to re-create this technique -

  • Create the white cardstock base with the Stitched Square.
  • Stamp the Snow Mouse image onto the white cardstock base, and then onto a sheet of each of teal, pink, red and white card.
  • Die cut the Stitched Polaroid frame in red, and hand cut the teal background to fit behind the frame.
  • Fussy cut the Snow Mouse stamped on the extra white card.
  • Fussy cut the Snow Mouse pink scarf (in one piece, cutting on an angle to hide behind the polaroid frame), ears, nose and tongue and adhere to the fussy cut white Snow Mouse.
  • Fussy cut the alternate red Snow Mouse stripes on the scarf and adhere to the pink scarf.
  • Adhere the teal stamped rectangle in position on the stamped cardstock base.
  • Adhere the white fussy cut Snow Mouse,  in position on the teal rectangle.
  • Adhere the Stitched Polaroid frame.
  • Die cut the "Joy" in teal and adhere in position.
  • Add some Kaisercraft pearls into the centre of three of the stamped snowflakes.

Love the pink/red/teal colour combo in the Just Us Girls Photo Inspiration Challenge.
