Happy, Happy Birthday...

CASE Study Card

I loved many elements from this gorgeous CASE Study card, and from this fun Retro Sketches sketch.  I had planned on doing a fairly obvious version of this weeks Retro Sketch, but my card somehow evolved along the way!

I love the bold colours of the CASE Study card, and dry embossed my black Core-dinations cardstock with Cuttlebug Jamara embossing folder - I love that the pattern runs vertically rather than horozontally for this card.  The letters are die-cut from My Favourite Things lower case alphabet in hot pink Basic Grey cardstock.  This gorgeous Happy Birthday sentiment stamp is from Heidi Swapp - whenever I see hot pink and black together, Heidi comes to mind - good marketing lol!!!  When I saw where the "Birthday" was stamped on the CASE study card, I thought it would look great if the embossing were separated at this point and made a feature of - just like the Retro Sketches sketch.  And so a card was born!!!

 Happy, Happy Birthday!!!
