Paper Smooches Guest Designer Shaker Style...

So super excited to have been invited to be Guest Designer over at Paper Smooches this month!! I just LOVE playing with their fabulous stamps and die cuts and this months release is no exception! If you want a chance to join in the fun, hop on over to Paper Smooches blog for your chance to be a Guest Designer for June.

Created this super cute hot lips shaker using the fabulous Paper Smooches Hugs & Kisses die and Smooches. Created the shaker box by die cutting the Paper Smooches Polaroid in red cardstock, then added a clear layer of acetate before backing with another Polaroid die cut from foam sheet, then filled with cardstock hotlips!

Had super fun playing with the Paper Smooches Smooches stamp set from last months Thanks a Million stamp set, coordinated with the super Paper Smooches die cut Smooches lips and sentiment.

Playing along with AAA Cards CAS Shaker too!

Happy Mother's Day FUSION...

As we have Mother's Day coming up next weekend in our corner of the world, I thought I'd create a FUSION Mother's Day card this fortnight, inspired by the FUSION sketch and floral inspiration.

Patterned papers from Prima and American Crafts, super sentiment from Verve and stitched tag diecut is by Paper Smooches. I broke out my Tim Holtz Tiny Tattered Florals dies to create these gorgeous flowers. The set comes with its very own quilling tool - a fabulous little tool which proves invaluable in rolling these flowers after you have die cut them. These flowers were created using a sheet of stiffened fabric paper - which was all the rage about 10 years ago. If you don't have any handy, you can always use fabric stiffener/glue applied to any ribbon or fabric to create the same effect, or you could use cardstock or paper if you prefer!

This month at FUSION we are also lucky enough to be joined by special Guest Designer, Bonnie Sharp so make sure you stop by for some extra fabulous inspiration from Bonnie and the FUSION team!

I would LOVE if you could join in the fun @ FUSION too!

Fabulous FUSION April Showers...

Back to earth (so to speak) after our fabulous French adventure to this fortnights FUSION inspiration. I may have to create more than just one rainbow inspired card this fortnight. I couldn't resist including this photo I took as we were heading back from an afternoon at the Musee du quai Branly. Walking in the pouring rain when sun suddenly broke through the clouds revealing the brightest rainbow I had ever seen - it was almost as though you could reach out and touch it and you could actually see where it ended - but I wasn't about to excavate the middle of this busy Parisian intersection to look for a pot of gold LOL!

So cute this couple sheltering from the rain under the cover of the rainbow too!

Inspired by the gorgeous FUSION April Showers photo, I combined this with the current Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try and created the rainbow circle by stamping Reverse Confetti Color Me Happy "paint splashes" in a rainbow of Momento Luxe and Hero Arts Neon inks, die cut with Lil Inkers Stitched Circles, and stamped with this super appropriate Reverse Confetti Shine From Within sentiment. Silver glitter starts diecut with Lil Inkers Stitched Stars, and cloud background created with Mama Elephant border.

This month we are also lucky enough to be joined by special Guest Designer, Bonnie Sharp so make sure you stop by for some extra fabulous inspiration from Bonnie and the FUSION team!

I would LOVE if you could join in the fun @ FUSION too!

Another Year Wiser with FUSION...

Super fun with this fortnight's FUSION. Love this gorgeous FUSION inspiration photo, perfect for paper piecing with Paper Smooches cutie Hooties owl. Mixed and matched with Paper Smooches alphabet sets, Graffiti, Alphadot and Mini Monograms, with a Whimsical branch. Couldn't resist using the "Accomplished" dictionary page as a background. I keep thinking this would make a super cool card with a diagonal pocket to slip an owl bookmark into!

Can't wait to see how you are inspired by FUSION too!

This month we are also lucky enough to be joined by special Guest Designer, Kate Lorenzini of Pinned and Penned, so make sure you stop by for some extra fabulous inspiration from Kate and the team!

DD is already in Paris, and we will be joining her there soon, so may be a little more quiet than usual here, depending on internet access!

Lucky Days FUSION

This fortnights FUSION challenge is filled with the luck of the Irish, so I thought I'd celebrate around the world! I thought it was super fitting too seeing as we will be heading off around the other side of the world in a few weeks, to join DD on exchange in Paris.

Created using the gorgeous (and Never Been Used Schtuff) Neat and Tangled Origami Map die cut and stamps, paired with these super cute Create a Stamp Crystal Letters alphabet stamps. Both the map and letters were stamped in white ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder, over watercolour backgrounds created using Twinkling H2Os, with added shimmer and a wooden frame, picking up on the textural elements from the inspiration photo.

This month we are also luck enough to be joined by special Guest Designer, Kate Lorenzini of Pinned and Penned, so make sure you stop by for some extra fabulous inspiration from Kate and the team!

I would LOVE if you could join in the fun @ FUSION too!

A Jumbo CAS(E) of Happy Birthday...

Inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch I remembered a project I had started a while back and this gave me the shove I needed to finally get around to putting this jumbo sized card all together!

Old dictionary paper background was turned into a sky using Mama Elephant Stitched Borders as a template, together with Distress Inks. Mama Elephant Make a Wish sentiment stamped and embossed in black, added Mama Elephant Up and Away extra sentiment, and stamped and fussy cut red watercolour balloons adding fussy cut Mama Elephant Ella and Friends elephant.

Playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch and Seize the Birthday
