A Brighter World...

A quick & simple card today as I wanted to play along with this weeks CASology Fireworks, because I actually do have a firework stamp LOL! I double stamped the We R Memory Keeper Firework to create some movement - more like real fireworks - and added a little Neat & Tangled flouro orange sequins in the centre.  This fabulous sentiment is from Mama Elephant, and what could be brighter than stamping in Hero Arts Neon Orange ink?!?  Believe me, it is brighter in real life. I had to put on my sunglasses just to photograph my card!  But, I thought I'd tone it down for my blog, as I didn't want to temporarily blind you at this hour of the day ;)

This made me smile...

How Do You Craft...

This is how I "usually" craft.

Pick one sketch - today's choice, this weeks fabulous CAS(E) this Sketch,
Add one colour combo - today's choice, this weeks versatile Dynamic Duos Basic Grey plus Your Choice (can you guess what my choice is LOL), and
Throw in a theme - today's choice, this fortnights fabulously fun, Keep It Simple Sun, then
Mix them all together with some gorgeous papers - today's choice, My Minds Eye and Echo Park,
Add some stamping, or today's choice, a chipboard accent, and
Voila - a card!

OK, so maybe a little more thought goes into it like, "ooh, that flower reminds me of the sun", and "I love that the next line of the song is when skies are grey, so it fits perfectly having a grey background..."

How do you craft???

A Lil aMUSEd...

Loved the colours in this weeks MUSE challenge, which luckily for me is now open til Mondays! I received my Lil Inkers parcel in the mail today & had to have a play with this gorgeous Fanfare Scalloped Border die cut.  I sprayed Dylusions Inks London Blue, Crushed Grape and Bubblegum Pink, to create a background on watercolour paper over which I laid the black Lil Inkers die cuts, fussy cut then mounted on white cardstock and black card base, stamped with a celebratory Paper Smooches sentiment.

Anita's fab MUSE card

For a beary special girl......

OK I'm the first to admit I have more than enough tape to washi all my cares away, but when it comes to putting tape to paper, I'm a little slow off the mark - which is probably why this card for the Little Tangles Washi It Up Challenge is rather last minute!  I had been eyeing off the gorgeous colours in this weeks Color Throwdown, when this fabulous Clean & Simple sketch, took away my last excuse not to washi this weeki!  Once I decided on using this fab clouds & hearts tape, I discovered these matching Amy Tangerine chipboard arrows in my stash, just right for playing along with this weeks CASual Friday's Hunger Games (Arrow) Challenge.

Now I just have to find somewhere to keep this for my beary special daughter til Valentines Day!

Follow, follow, follow, follow...

Waving a big hello to my "followers" old & new!!

Just in case you weren't aware, Google Reader will be closing it's doors from today - June 30th, and any new blogs are apparently unable to attach a Google Follow Me button.

Whether you choose Feedly or Bloglovin' as your new preferred streamed post source, just click on the "Follow Me" buttons below, or in the right hand column of my PC posts, and you can make sure you don't miss a post :)

In case you are having any problems linking up your blog to Feedly, the lovely Kim has a fab write up here.

Don't forget, today is the last day to link up your projects to Let's Get Trendy Now! 3 too!

Oh Snap...

Second post of the day... scroll down for FUSION post!

Teenagers and neons - the perfect match???  I thought I'd have a play on the bright side of life with this teen (belated) birthday card - are they always late, or is it just that they sleep in LOL?!?  I thought this The Alley Way Stamps Framed camera and sentiment were just right for a teen card, paired with Amy Tangerine's Sketchbook papers, Lil Inkers Stitched Polaroid frame and some Neat & Tangled Sequins.

A Whole Month of FUSION...

Time for some more fabulous FUSION inspiration, and this week is extra fabulous because as it's Summer Vacation in the Northern Hemisphere, you have until JULY 24th to play along with this FUSION Challenge!  Just a quick reminder of how you can play along...

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just Jackie's sketch challenge.
2. Play with just Lesley's inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Experiment Page before playing along.

Focusing on this weeks FUSION inspiration, I love the negative white images on the little stack of birdies, and the first one that caught my eye was the little yellow birdie whose markings reminded me of my Memory Box Chloe die-cut.  This weeks sketch is perfectly suited for die-cuts, so I thought I'd also challenge myself to play along with Catered Crop So Shapely and create a card using only die-cuts - because I LOVE them!  So in addition to my Chloe stem die, I added my Paper Smooches Thanks and Fishtail Flag and Lil Inkers Stitched Squares, to create this die-cut only card. The Thanks and Chloe were both negative cut from the central Stitched Squares panel.  I then added a positive cut of the Chloe, and the Fishtail Flag in Fancy Pants paper.  I love the white and yellow pops against the neutral Bella hexagon cardstock.
