Inspired by this weeks Retro Sketch, the frame is stamped on Kaisercraft music paper, and coloured in Whisper Textas.  The background is dry embossed with Cuttlebugs Allegro, and topped off with two roses and some crushed velvet ribbon from my stash, perfect for this weeks Play Date Cafe - touch of maroon, and Stampin' for the Weekend - texture challenge.

TAWS Sneak Peeks... Petal Pushers

I got all inky with The Alley Way Stamps new Petal Pushers funky flowers today - love the en masse impact of these blooms embossed in white, and inked using Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord, oversprayed in Dylusions Crushed Grape and Glimmermist Denim, then fussy cut and layered.  The sentiment is created from Mad Gab and Chatterbox, stamped in Versa Colour Heliotrope and Violet.  This semi-transparent ribbon was from my stash, perfect for this months Shades of Lavender colour challenge at The Ribbon Girls.  

I couldn't stop at just one card, so created this card using The Alley Way Stamps Petal Pushers too, with papers from Pebbles Seen & Noted, the yellow and turquoise colour combination is perfect for the new Keep It Simple Challenge too.

TAWS Sneak Peeks Day 1...

As soon as I saw this fortnights gorgeous Tuesday Trigger: Frame by Frame at Moxie Fab World I knew couldn't wait to christen my new The Alley Way Stamps Doodle Frames.  They look fab inked in Versa Colours to create this series of picture frames, highlighting papers from Pink Paislee and MME, with a sentiment created using Doodle Frames and Jibber Jabber, inspired by this fortnights fabulous CAS(E) this Sketch too!

BE Inspired to... Chillax

HELP!!!  Sorry this post is late - I've been having issues with Picasa - apparently my quota is filled, and they won't let me access it to delete files until I upgrade my account and pay them to do so, and then once I have upgraded my account I can't downgrade it again!!!  Has anyone else had this issue and worked out a way to resolve it?  Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!!!

Anyhow, onto my card for the day!  I have done so many snowmen cards this month, it must be as we see so little snow in Australia it's easy to only romanticise the best of it!  Todays creation was inspired by The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired #16, I loved the layered snowflakes on the Christmas stockings.  My favourite snowman is from Jolly Holiday, and the trees include one from Trees Company too.  Sketch is based on this weeks Mojo Monday, using my die cut snowflakes from My Favorite Things in lieu of circles.  Colour scheme is inspired by this weeks Color Throwdown - I love the mix of blues and green - and threw a little silver in too with my Heidi Swapp letters.  I thought this was perfect for Addicted to CAS Snowflakes Challenge, and Little Red Wagon Boy Oh Boy too!  Papers are a mix of Fancy Pants, Basic Grey and Pebbles.

White Magic...

When I saw this clear photo bauble on sale recently, I thought it would be perfect to use as a base for creating a 3D Christmas bauble.  The gorgeous snowman and snowflake are from The Alley Way Stamps Jolly Holiday, with the sentiment from Christmas Magic stamped in clear and white embossed.  I die cut the background and foreground snow scenes using Memory Box Country Landscape, and used 3D Kidyglitz in Glitter Crystalina to create a glittery layer of fresh snow.  I pop-dotted the foreground scene, careful to leave a couple of millimetre gap at the base of the circle to allow for the curve of the bauble.  I even managed to find some glittery snowflake ribbon from American Crafts (I think) to use to attach the bauble to the tree.  Now we just need to retrieve our tree!

10 Minute Smooches...

This is what a 10 minute smooch looks like - or 10 minutes 24 seconds actually LOL!  Inspired by the colours at 10 Minute Craft Dash and Paper Smooches Sparks Designer Drafts Challenge.  One thing is for sure, there is no way I would be able to make a card in this sort of time frame without a sketch!!!  I definitely prefer a sketch for speed!  Papers are a mix of Lily Bee and My Minds Eye.  Giraffe is coloured with texta - before I fussy cut it so I had fewer lines to worry about colouring inside! To save on time I adhered the giraffe with glue pen rather than my usual pop dots :)  As I used my MFT Scalloped Border die-cut, I'm joining in at The Pink Elephant Punches / Die Cuts Challenge too!

ThankFall...

Inspired by this fortnights BE Inspired at The Alley Way Stamps, this gorgeous turkey was created by paper piecing the turkey body and leaves from It's Fall About You, with the sentiment created from Jibber Jabber and Alphabet Soup.  I love how his beak perfectly fitted into one of the leaf patterns from the MME paper.  I'm joining in this months challenges at Trendy Twine with Thankful Orange Truffle and Ribbon Carousel Fall Spirit.  

For the Moxie Fab World Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks Stitching Challenge here's a little tip - remember to do a little dot at the start and end of each faux stitch dash to make it look more like the real thing.
